4 Vermeer Studies complete.

I have completed 4 coloured pencil studies of the works of 17th century Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer of since January this year.

My aim was to make them look as near as possible to the Johannes Vermeer Original 17th century oil paintings. My drawing are all the same size as the original paintings and I have tried wherever possible to mix and blend colours to match the exact colours that Vermeers used. I have completed each drawing by adding the fine detail cracks in the oil paint exactly as there are on the originals.

The Milkmaid is my most recently completed work. She will be shipped to Fruitport Michigan to join The Girl with the Pearl Earring, The Girl with the Wine Glass and The Little Street. The owners of my works Beverly Brooks Whitbeck and her husband Neil have had the drawings museum standard vacuum framed and they have staged several exhibitions to show my work to a wider audience. I'm extremely grateful to Beverly and Neil for supporting my work in this way.
