In February 2022 I decided to draw Gok Wan.

For those of you who don't know, Gok Wan MBE is a British fashion consultant, author, television presenter, actor, DJ and chef.

I was approached by his fan club and asked whether I would consider letting Gok see the portrait. I responded saying that I'd actually be happy to let him have it. Perhaps he could auction it off to raise money for one of the many charities that he supports.

So I packaged it up and one of the ladies from the fan club drove from the other side of London to come to my house to collect the drawing. We had a lovely cuppa and a chat then off she went.

Gok was DJing at one of his shows in Birmingham and the intention was that the drawing would be presented to him after the event. I heard from the lady the next morning. The drawing was given to him in it's box.

Unfortunately I heard no more about it following that so I can only hope that he did actually open the box and put the drawing to good use. I have tried to find out on a few occasions but have never had a response. Just one of those things I guess!
